FILM STATEMENT

My films unfold as a quiet dance of movement and color—an experimental synthesis of drawings and sculptural forms. I weave together two-dimensional sketches with three-dimensional stop-motion worlds, often threading real-life moments into this tapestry to create layered, textured experiences that exist beyond narrative convention.

I am drawn to the layering of fragmented imagery, where shapes, light, and shadow speak in their own silent language. Meaning emerges in the spaces between frames, in the delicate rhythm of pause and flow, where emotion lingers without the need for words.

Delicate clay figures, living bodies, falling leaves, and flowing water often inhabit these worlds—emblems of change and gentle transformation. Each element carries its own poetic language, inviting viewers to sense the subtle shifts beneath the surface of what is seen.

For me, the essence of a film lies in the form and color of its objects—their capacity to evoke mood and meaning that transcends language. At times, I set the camera aside to return to my hands: touching paper, water, glue, canvas, and clay. From this tactile engagement, my films grow—shaped like sculptures or paintings animated through time and sound.

I craft moments that breathe and unfold, offering an invitation into realms beyond words, where the unseen currents of feeling and memory take shape in light and shadow.
